YAEL JONES IS MAJORING IN STUDIO ART TECHNOLOGY AT CLAFLIN UNIVERSITY IN S.C. , AND ELIJAH IS MAJORING IN MEDIA ENTREPRENEURSHIP AT GEORGIA STATE UNIVERSITY. CONGRATULATIONS TO 2020 COLLEGE FRESHMEN ISIS HARRISON, TRE'SURE TROTTER, AND JAKWAI JOHNSON! ISIS HARRISON IS MAJORING IN NEUROSCIENCE MEDICINE AT THE UNIVERSITY OF GEORGIA. JAKWAI WILL BE ATTENDING KENNESAW STATE UNIVERSITY AND MAJORING IN MECHANICAL ENGINEERING. TRE'SURE WILL BE ATTENDING XAVIER UNIVERSITY AND MAJORING IN MECHANICAL ENGINEERING. WAY TO GO!

Jakwai's mother, Aliyah, and Tresure's mother, Nadia, are both Uhuru Dancers Saturday Community dance instructors. TABALA children perform annually in the Uhuru Dancers Kwanza Celebration. We salute you both!
Jakwai and Tre'sure both competed in National Engineering Design competitions sponsored by SECME!
They represented the TABALA Research Institute in the competitions achieving 1st place in Atlanta Regional and 2nd and 3rd place in National Competitions.
They both received the 2020 Scholarship Book Award from SECME to assist in purchasing books during their freshman year.
TABALA Research Institute has closely been monitoring news and recommendations from the CDC and the World Health Organization regarding COVIO-19. Although we hoped to continue class, the health and wellness of our community is our first priority. For these reasons our board members decided to cancel our remaining Saturday classes for the months of March ==>September. We will launch Online Zoom Martial Art classes for the month of August. The Online Zoom Martial Art classes will begin on Saturdays from 10:00 AM and last until 10: 40 AM. You will receive invitations by phone and email.
There will be a Live Workout Session to celebrate the Uhuru Dancers 31st Anniversary to be held on this
October 17th at Clarkston Community Center Outdoors at 1:00 PM til 2:00 PM, observing safe social distance.
We would like to thank you for your continued support. Please continue to exercise from home by following along in the Instructor Spotlight below. Don't forget to the exercise daily, eat your fruit and vegetables, and drink plenty of water.

We practice Break Falls at the TABALA Research Institute in order to develop Resilience! It's important to know that sometimes in life we fall. What makes the difference is how and when we get back up...because we must say that it is NOT over!

Northern Praying Mantis Kung Fu has Drunken Forms which make the practitioner appear to be off balance, relaxed and in all most drunken like yet deceptive state. The falls, feints, dives, and recovery are signature forms within these forms. We do NOT advocate alcohol. We drink plenty of Herbal Tea and Water instead! and we Practice Day and Night mastering skills arriving at a State of "Drunken Ease"

In achieving academic progress one must as well
Determine and exercise one’s learning style
Use due diligence in developing a routine of study, time, place, and activity
Practice solving the problem as often as possible, during convenient as well as inconvenient times
Realize that little steps in the right direction yields better results than big moves of desperation
Not get discouraged with failure, but instead have faith that you will achieve your goal(s) in God’s time
Not procrastinate, but instead start early enough so that you start solving the seed rather than the fruit of the problem
Realize that every problem solution has an essential basis or unit of success which needs to be the point of focus
